Your Dreams are Safe in His Hands!

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden (held)  of it (Acts 2:22-24)”

Dear friend and partner,

In our last discussion, I mentioned Joseph, a man of great dreams, whom God gave a different cry of joy as he saw his dreams fulfilled in Egypt. However, it is important to know that Joseph did not just arrive at the place of his dream without suffering in the hands of men. Men took his coat, drop him in the pit and send him to slavery. Do you know that people who have dreams and who chose to pursue them fearlessly may also suffer various forms of attack and persecution in the hands of men? Of course, the devil may use fellow men to try and persecute you for what God is about to do and release in your future. But, I’ve come to announce to you today: Don’t panic, your life and dreams are safe in the hands of God.

You will have a Different Cry!

“And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.  And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept (Genesis 21:14-16)”

“Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard (Genesis 45:1-2).”

One of the most profound ability given to man by God is the ability to dream. In Joel 2:28, God says He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh in the last days and enables us to have dreams. A dream is a mental picture of what is to be in the future. In Genesis 37, God showed Joseph two dreams in connection with what he has planned for him. Your dream is what separates you from the crowd and makes you a unique individual. It charts the course to which your life follows. A dream brings focus to your life and eliminate unnecessary distractions. Infact, everything you would ever be in life would first be released as a “dream seed” in your heart which would need to be cultivated and nurtured to its fulfilment. The journey of a thousand miles often begins in the mind.

Wisdom of the Spider

“The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces. (Prov 30:28)”
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (Prov 22:29)”

Dear friend and partner,

This week, I want to introduce the third of the little four animals that attained greatness in life. Our focus today is on the Spider. The Bible says the Spider ends up in kings’ palaces through what she grabs with her hands. The Spider therefore, represents a set of people who attain greatness and find themselves in great places through the work of their hands.

I believe very strongly that everyone of us has the potential to be great and go places if we will give attention to details on the work of our hands (See: Prov 22:29; Prov 18:16). A Spider finds herself dining with Kings and rulers because she excel in the work of her hands . I have noticed that many people do not see a great future in what they do because it looks small and insignificant today, hence, they are slack on their job/business. Slack hands inhibit greatness and will lead to poverty (See: Prov 10:4). Even though, as a believer, you carry the blessings and greatness within you, the channel to the release of your greatness in the natural is what you do with your hands (See: Psalms 1:1-3).

Wisdom of the Conies!

“The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks (Prov 30:26)”
“The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies (Psalms 104:18)”

Dear friend and partner,

Last week, I share with you three things we can learn from the ants: (i) accept personal responsibility for your life; (ii) manage your god-given resources  wisely; and (iii) never give up until you  reach your goal.

Today, I want to discuss with you the wisdom of the Conies. Conies are small rabbits that are physically feeble (i.e. they are weak or lack strength). But the Bible says, they are great because they position themselves in the rock. Conies’ life demonstrate how weak and ordinary folks can achieve great and extraordinary feats in life. Do you have great dreams but have been looking at your physical weaknesses as limitations? Conies gave you and I wisdom on how to turn every of our weaknesses into strength.

Wisdom of the Ants

“The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer (Prov 30:25)”
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest (Prov 6:6-8)”

Dear friend and partner,

In our last discussion, we introduced the little four that becomes great because they exceeded others in wisdom. We then emphasize the importance of godly wisdom  to achieving greatness in life.

Today, I will be focusing on the first of the little four – the ants. I believe there are three vital lessons that  we learn about life from the ants: one, you must accept personal responsibility for your life; two, manage your god-given resources wisely; and three, no matter what comes your way, never give up! Let’s discuss these three points further.

The Wisdom of the Little Four (Part 1)

“There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet they make their houses in the rock; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces (Prov 30:24-28)”

My dear friend and partner,

One distinguishing mark of a child of God is the ability to recognize and hear God’s voice. In John chapter 10, Jesus, repeatedly, says that he knows his sheep and they hear and obey his voice (See: John 10:3-5,27). You should, however, know that not only can we hear God’s voice through the pages of the Bible, God speaks through  nature and everything he made in creation. Psalms 19:1-3 says: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.” That means, God communicates His wisdom through everything around us – the flowers, the birds, the firmament and every other things in creation.

Service – The Path to True Greatness!

“If one of you wants to be great, you must be the servant of the rest; and if one of you wants to be first, you must be the slave of the others—like the Son of Man, who did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life to redeem many people (Matthew 20:26-28, GNB)”

My dear friend and partner,

Since the beginning of this series, I have been focusing on how to discover who you are and what your purpose on earth is. In our last discussion, we saw that the first step in your journey to greatness is to clearly define and articulate your life’s purpose and directions.

Today, I want you to know that, as a believer, there is a certain path that will lead to your greatness in life – that path is to dedicate your life to the SERVICE of others. I know we are in a world system that measures greatness by the position you occupy, the titles you have, your level of education, your material possessions and so on. That’s why many people today are crazy for titles, positions, and power to cover up for what they lack in true greatness and impact.

How Clear is Your MISSION and VISION?

“And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly (Mark 8:22-25).”

My dear friend and partner,

In our last discussion, I stated that each of our individual journey on earth is like a book already written by God having seals that we must unravel through the help of the Spirit of God in us. We used the description of Apostle John’s vision in Revelation 5 as our guide. Infact, the Psalmist succinctly articulates this point in Psalms 139:16, CEV when he says:  “but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do.” Hence, your success and fulfilment in life is tied to the discovery and living-out what God has written in your book.

Who is worthy to Open the Book and Loose the Seals?

“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart (Psa 40:7-8)”

My dear friend and partner,

I want to continue this week our discussion on HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR PERSONAL GREATNESS. We established last week that God is concerned about how the journey of your life ends than how it begins. His expectation is that although you begin small, you should end it in greatness (Job 8:7; Ecc 7:8). We also found out that God’s process for releasing greatness in all His creation is to leverage the power of the seed. You carry the seed of greatness in your born-again spirit and you can be everything God has revealed in your spirit.

Unlocking Your Personal Greatness!

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase (Job 8:7)”

My dear friend and partner,

I am glad to reach you again today to share a word from the Lord with you. By the grace of God, I would be sharing with you, in the next few weeks, some biblical principles on HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR PERSONAL GREATNESS. Do you know that, as a born again child of God, you  carry within you the potential for greatness in life? You have been programmed by God for success and victory in all that you do. Majority of believers live in contrast to this truth and  pursue goals and ambitions that did not emanate from their own spirit. They follow the dreams and visions of other people without realizing their own true calling and purpose. So, my aim in this series is to help you get an awareness of your greatness and to show you some biblical principles that can help you unlock your personal greatness. I am trusting the Lord to use this series to lift you to a new level of accomplishment and success in Jesus name.
