Welcome to 2011!

Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

Dear treasured Friend and Partner,

I have great joy in welcoming you to another exciting year 2011. We thank God for sparing our lives for another year and for His mercies and grace that are ever new day by day.

The beginning of every year is always full of expectations, excitements and hopes. So what are your expectations for this year? The year presents another opportunity to explore new possibilities, set new agenda, pursue our purpose on earth and actualize our God-given dreams. As a ministry, the Lord has instructed us to proclaim the year 2011 as a SEASON OF TOTAL FREEDOM for our friends, family and partner. We are praying and expecting that you and your family will experience total freedom from everything that has held you bound from becoming all God has called you to be. This year, you will walk and live free from the power of sin, guilt, condemnation, sickness, stagnation, poverty, and every other limiting forces of life in Jesus name.

Peter, God’s Word, and You!

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

“And Simon answering and said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink (Luke 5:5-7).”

One of my prayers for you this year is that you will receive a revelation of God’s word concerning whatever situation you may be facing. I am not talking of the letter (or logos) of the word but the “rhema” or revealed word. This is what would make you a success in all affairs of life. Without the word, your 2009 will be full of struggles and toiling.

I would like us to examine the account of Apostle Peter as recorded in Luke 5 on how God’s word can make a whole lot of difference between success and failure, abundance and lack, progress and stagnation.

We’re Possessing the Land in 2009!

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

Dear treasured friend,

The much-anticipated year 2009 is finally here! What a great opportunity for a new beginning in pursuit of our godly dreams and visions.

At Faith Life Community, we would like to welcome you into 2009. We believe this New Year has presented us with another privilege to determine the course of our lives and to progress towards becoming all that God has created us to be. We therefore, bring you God’s word for 2009 that we are “POSSESSING the LAND”.

The world today is filled with news of a bleak and gloomy future. From global economic meltdown, war and unrest, diseases, climate change, and political instability, the future looks bleak and dark for the people of the world. Yet in the midst of all these, God promised to lift up those who are His own. In Isaiah 60: 1-2, He says:

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upont thee”

I will Arise and go to My Father!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger!
I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee (Luke 15:17-18)”

In the last study, we talked about the distinguishing mark of a true leader – the ability to take actions towards a desired change. Today, I’ll like us to begin with the first action that we all need to take to be able to turn things around in our life, family and society – we must make things right with God.

Behold, Elizabeth is also Pregnant!

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

“And, behold, thy cousin Elizabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. (Luke 1:36)”

As we further look into the challenge of starting a God-given assignment, I would like to stress the importance of connecting with people who are also doing something for God.

Our case in point is Mary the mother of Jesus as recorded in Luke 1:26-56. Although the assignment given to her will change the course of humanity forever, it seems an impossible task by all human reasoning. And just like most of us, she looked at herself, her circumstances and asked: How will this thing be? Aren’t we also asking the same question today? We focus on our weaknesses and limitations neglecting the divine power of the Holy Spirit within us.

The “Perfectionist” Syndrome!

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

“He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap (Ecc 11:4)”

Yesterday, I announced to the whole world the inauguration of a community of faith which would attest to the living power and glory of God. Friend, that was an almost 7-year dream of my heart. Thank God! I finally acted on what God has instructed me to do. And lest i forget, I must also thank you for joining your faith with mine as we stand for the Lord Jesus in our generation.

And talking about the challenge of beginning, everyone that has accomplished something great in life would tell you that their greatest challenge was to take the first step of starting. Why? Because every great thing starts with a seed of idea. That idea must however, be transformed into actions in the physical for it to be a reality.
