Your Dreams are Safe in His Hands!

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden (held)  of it (Acts 2:22-24)”

Dear friend and partner,

In our last discussion, I mentioned Joseph, a man of great dreams, whom God gave a different cry of joy as he saw his dreams fulfilled in Egypt. However, it is important to know that Joseph did not just arrive at the place of his dream without suffering in the hands of men. Men took his coat, drop him in the pit and send him to slavery. Do you know that people who have dreams and who chose to pursue them fearlessly may also suffer various forms of attack and persecution in the hands of men? Of course, the devil may use fellow men to try and persecute you for what God is about to do and release in your future. But, I’ve come to announce to you today: Don’t panic, your life and dreams are safe in the hands of God.

How Clear is Your MISSION and VISION?

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

“And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly (Mark 8:22-25).”

My dear friend and partner,

In our last discussion, I stated that each of our individual journey on earth is like a book already written by God having seals that we must unravel through the help of the Spirit of God in us. We used the description of Apostle John’s vision in Revelation 5 as our guide. Infact, the Psalmist succinctly articulates this point in Psalms 139:16, CEV when he says:  “but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do.” Hence, your success and fulfilment in life is tied to the discovery and living-out what God has written in your book.

Who is worthy to Open the Book and Loose the Seals?

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart (Psa 40:7-8)”

My dear friend and partner,

I want to continue this week our discussion on HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR PERSONAL GREATNESS. We established last week that God is concerned about how the journey of your life ends than how it begins. His expectation is that although you begin small, you should end it in greatness (Job 8:7; Ecc 7:8). We also found out that God’s process for releasing greatness in all His creation is to leverage the power of the seed. You carry the seed of greatness in your born-again spirit and you can be everything God has revealed in your spirit.

Wanted: Men of Vision!

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

“Because Noah had faith, he was warned about something that had not yet happened. He obeyed and built a boat that saved him and his family. In this way the people of the world were judged, and Noah was given the blessings that come to everyone who pleases God (Hebrews 11:7, CEV)”

Last week, we prayed for men and fathers in the home. Our prayer was that God should turn their heart back to their children (and family). And I think, not only do we need our fathers back at home, we need them to provide the right leadership. We need them to lead the home with vision into God’s plan and purposes.

We do not need ordinary men as leaders in our home. We need men who are passionate and visionary. Men who have walked with God and spent time in His word. Men of prayer and supplication. Men who can motivate the family into the higher plans of God. Men who can lead their  family into greatness.  Men who can deliver their family from the shackles of lack and poverty into wealth and prosperity. We need men who can see into the future and make a proper plan for the safety of the whole family.  Oh, my friend we need men of vision, and we need them in our homes now!

How to Impact Your World (I): Caring for the Needy

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

“Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and alms deeds which she did. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. And all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them (Acts 9:36-39)

In the next few weeks, I would be concluding the series on VISIONARY LIVING. However, I want wrap-up the series by giving some examples of ways in which you can impact your world positively for the Lord. And I believe as we discuss this together, the Lord would be stirring our hearts to be part of his agenda to reach the world with the message of the kingdom.

The first way to make impact which I want to share with you today is “caring for the needy”. In the verses of scripture for our consideration, we read of a disciple named Dorcas, of whom the Bible says was full of good works and alms deeds. Her ministry was to care for the widows – she clothe and feed the widows and needy. But, at a certain time she became sick and died. The other disciples then sent for Peter to come and raise her up because she was literally “too good to die”. The widows showed Peter all the garments she had sown for them while alive.

God has a Plan, but Do You?

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

“From the beginning I predicted the outcome; long ago I foretold what would happen. I said that my plans would never fail, that I would do everything I intended to do (Isaiah 46:10, GNB)” “Everything has happened just as I said it would; now I will announce what will happen next (Isaiah 42:9, CEV)”.

I want to discuss with you today something crucial to reaching your goal in life and achieving the vision God has placed in your heart – it is planning for your vision. Planning, generally, is the reasoning side of acting. It is an explicit deliberation process that chooses and organizes your actions by anticipating their expected outcomes. Although, that does not mean you always get it right 100%, but you are better off than you would have been if you had not prepare. So, the reason for planning is to achieve as best as possible some pre-stated objectives.

Think Big, but Start Small!

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

“And Jesus said, make the men sit down  (John 6:10)

The story of the feeding of five thousands in John 6:5-14  is a very familiar one  (Bible scholars actually suggested there might be over 20,000 people if we count women and children). But there are two things the Lord showed me in that  passage in connection with vision which I want to share with you. On one hand, you must think big and on the other, start with what you have.

Impossible is Nothing!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

“For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37)”

One  attribute of a godly vision is that it makes you operate in the realm of impossibilities. It is often remarked that visionary people have three eyes. So, if you have been living on just two, you had better seek and get the third eye now. Otherwise, you will live a limited life. The third eye we all need is the “vision eye”. That is what connects us to the realm of the invisible and produces an inner picture of unlimited opportunities and possibilities in our future.  (more…)

Are you conscious of Time?

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy] (Ecclesiastes 3:11,  Amplified).”

In our last discussion, we found that God has an eternal vision to save the world and his strategy to achieving that goal was to break it down into small tasks that would be carried out by individuals  born into the world at different times and ages. We concluded that you and I have a unique part  to play in God’s eternal plan. That is what defines our purpose on earth and that should be the foundation for our ambitions and visions in life. (more…)

A Vision that Spans Eternity!

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy] (Ecclesiates 3:11, Amplified).”

I want to establish some key foundations for a god-given vision and dream before we advance to deal with how to identify your purpose and fulfil your vision in life. First, we need to understand that it is only in God and through God’s power can we have real vision and fulfilment in life. The scripture above says that God has planted eternity in the heart and minds of men and he gave man a sense of purpose that nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy (Ecc 3:11, Amp). This is what a real vision is all about: a conception inspired by God in our hearts that him alone can satisfy.
